Ava's room

Chris' sister came over this weekend painted a mural on Ava's wall. She's so much more artistic then I could ever hope to be. I think she did a good job, don't you think?

Magic House

On Mother's day we had plan to take Ava to the Zoo. We've been so busy with the move that we thought we'd make it up to her. But who would have thought it was going to be only 55 degrees on mother's day. So the zoo was out. So instead we went to the Magic House children's museum. Ava had a lot of fun and already talks about going back.

Who knew I had so much crap...

So I guess you can say we're officially moved into our new house. And we LOVE it! The neighborhood is so nice and quiet and I've got neighbors that will actually talk to me. Met some today and they seem super cool. The move was quite stressfull but i'm glad its all over.
On thrusday April 24th we had hired movers to load our 26' rented truck. I was to stay home with the movers and see that it gets loaded. It of course was a nasty rainy day so the movers decided to take an early lunch and see if the rain died down. Well they left the big truck in the driveway and yes it was sticking out into the street. Cars and such could still get by but it was a tight squeeze for buses. Well about noon a bus was hanging at by my house apprantly to scared to try and drive by so the dad drove up in his car and picked up the kid. I happened to be in the garage and got to hear an earful from my lovely neighbor about how I should move the truck. I told him its not going anywhere right now because I don't have anyone to move it right now....then of course the police show up at my door 10 minutes later..idiot had called the police to complain. I told the cop the same thing. I'm here by myself and I can't move the truck until my movers came back. He was pretty cool and said ok. Yet another reason i'm so thankful to be out of that neighborhood. The movers got it all loaded but guess what we still had stuff..so we had to rent another trailer and take some stuff to my moms house before the house was completely clear. I can't believe all the stuff I had. So Friday morning we had our final walk through of our new house and then we actually closed on the house...woohoo! Friday evening we picked out paint. And saturday began the painting party. Chris' dad, Melanie and greg and Melanie's dad came over to help paint. Thank God they were here because we would have never gotten it all done. By Saturday night we had Ava's room, Master bedroom, Family rooom, kitchen and dining room all painted. Sunday was moving day.. Luckily the rain held off long enough for us to get the truck unloaded. Thanks to family and friends we got a lot of stuff unpacked and moved in. We're still slowly unpacking some boxes. Like today I actually got my computer out and running...its on a shaky card table for now until I can find a desk, but it will do. We also cleaned out the garage today so we can actually fit cars in there..whoohoo I actually have a spot in a garage to park. I couldn't park in the garage at the old house cause chris' vette was in there. We had our bedroom furniture delivered this week and it looks so nice. We bought new couches for the family room this weekend. And last night Chris picked out his coveted big screen. So I'd like to say the Chris and I are single handedly stimulating the economy...speaking off...where's my check?
Ava is doing good with the move. She likes her new purple room..especially since she has her own walk in closet full of toys where she can sit and hide and play for hours. Crackers is missing her old backyard because we don't have a fence yet, but she's adjusting. So things are going good and we're slowly but surely getting everything back to normal.
