Dad update....

Well as most of you know my dad is back in the hospital again. His liver has pretty much stopped functioning and caused a big back up of fluid in his body, which had become infected. Fluid had also built up in his lungs. They removed some fluid from his body and lungs and have put him on a massive dose of antibiotics to kill the infection. His MELD score (the number they go by to determine the severity of the liver patient) is at 25 which is really bad and means that he needs a liver and soon. They have been preparing him for if a liver comes in by taking PET scans and CT scans which is routine before surgery. Well they found a spot on his lungs after doing the PET scan. So now we have to wait for them to do a needle biopsy to make sure its not cancer. If it is cancer than he's off the transplant list. So they are suppose to do the biopsy tomorrow so lets just pray that its not cancer and that a liver comes very soon.
