So close....

We were so close today but yet so far away. So this afternoon mom and dad get a call that there might be a liver for dad. So we rush around trying to get everything together and start to head down to the hospital. Only on the way down we get a call saying there's no need to come down. Apparently dad was the back up recipient. They had called dad because they didn't think the guy in front of him was going to be a match and be able to use the liver. But it turned out that the guy was able to take the liver. So we turned around and headed back home. We were bummed. We had gotten so excited and then we were let down. I guess the good news is that we know he's up on the list and now there's one more guy not in front of him on the list. So we continue to wait for a baby and a liver.
